Lateral Engineering Solutions (LES) is a Texas-licensed engineering firm founded by Les Griffin, P.E., a subsea engineering veteran with nearly two decades of experience in offshore systems. What We Do
Engineering Services for Subsea & Offshore Projects
3D CAD design using SolidWorks and Autodesk Fusion for subsea hardware, ROV tools and interfaces, lifting frames, installation aids, and offshore equipment. Preparation of 2D drawings for manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly.
Finite element analysis (FEA) with SolidWorks Simulation to assess load capacity, stress distribution, deflection, and performance. Covers service conditions, rated load cases, proof testing, and lifting operations.
Engineering oversight of test procedures, fixture design, and execution for rated load capacity, hydrostatic proof testing, fatigue testing, prototype evaluations, FAT/SIT, and third-party verification tests.
Technical review of design packages, calculations, drawings, and specifications against applicable standards and project requirements. Scope includes evaluation of design, changes, material selections, manufacturing processes, NDE specification, and compliance documentation.
Support for vendor management, machining oversight, fabrication checks, assembly fit-up, and offshore mobilization. Services cover subsea wellheads, drilling risers, top tension riser systems, subsea trees, tendons, long forgings, ROV tools, connectors, custom fabricated frames, and lifting appliances.
